Dr. Treweek has ten years experience in the analysis and design of water and wastewater treatment processes.  He has conducted pilot plant studies to determine the appropriate treatment processes to meet effluent discharge requirements, and has performed feasibility studies to evaluate the cost effectiveness of the selected process train.  His pilot plant experience includes especially challenging water and wastewater streams, such as lake water containing glacial flour and very high strength wastewater from cheese processing and brewery operations.

Dr. Treweek has eleven years experience in conducting site investigations, feasibility studies, remedial designs, and remedial actions at hazardous waste sites throughout the southwestern US.  He performed the original site investigation and feasibility study at the Stringfellow site in Glen Avon, CA.  Subsequently he prepared the predesign report for the groundwater treatment system and the landfill cap at this Superfund site.  He has supervised the cleanups of fuel-contaminated soil at neighborhood gas stations, 420,000 cubic yards of lead contaminated soil during construction of the Century Freeway, and 2,500 cubic yards of explosive contaminated waste at the Hawthorne Army Depot.

As Vice President and Manager of the Remediation Division of a major consulting engineering firm, Dr. Treweek supervised the activities of thirty scientists and engineers engaged in a wide variety of tasks related to hazardous waste management and environmental impacts.

Dr. Treweek is the author of chapters in three textbooks and more than thirty peer-reviewed articles.
